Arana turned on a scintillating performance in Round 2 to easily account for Logan Bros but both sides will bear lottle resemblamce to the teams from that encounter. Arana will have been lifted by their last gasp win over Souths, whilst Logan could hardly have been more impressive in their ahhihilation of Redcliffe on trial day. Logan Bros have never beaten Arana at Dawson Pde, but this could be their opportunity.

Souths went perilously close to racking up their first win of the season last Sunday, but fell to Arana in the last minute, as did Springwood to competition leaders Norths. Souths do not seem to travel too well, and despite losing by only 4 points in their encounter with Springwood earlier in the year, this appears a much harder task.

Both these teams turned in rather forgettable performances on the weekend, Redcliffe being thrashed by Logan Bros, and a last minute converted try salvaging Centenary a draw against Easts. Redcliffe are currently in second place in the competition, but so close is the table another loss like last week's could see them slip out of the top 5 this round. Centenary are not playing with the zip they were earlier in the season but will have to regain it here if they are to hold the Dolphins at home. The first round game was a ripper with Centenary storming home to win by a point - another tight result would not surprise.

Norths: Springwood W 23-22; Souths W 26-12; Centenary W 18-16
Norths are four points clear at the top of the table following their last minute win over Springwood last weekend and will be confident of another win this weekend against the Tigers. Easts are steadily improving however and have had a win over Arana and a draw with Centenary in last 3 rounds as evidence of their progress. Easts led Norths well into the second half of their encounter earlier this year and are certainly capable of springing a surprise.
