Yet another forfeit this weekend with Easts forfeiting to Logan Bros.
The first Friday night game saw Centenary host Springwood at the Centenary Highway Reserve. Despite being out of the running for the semis, the Panthers put up a good effort in the first half to hold the scoreline to 12 all at the break. However, with Daniel Isaac unstoppable, Springwood ran awy in the second half to give themselves the faintest hope of winning the Minor Premiership with a 36-18 win.
Arana finished their season by hosting Redcliffe at Dawson Pde, and like the other Friday night game, the first half of this match was closely fought, with the visitors taking a 12-6 lead to the break. Despite Arana's desperation to win their last game, Redcliffe were the ones who proved the beetr in the second half to run out 26-10 victors in a good hit-out before their knockout semi next week.
The Sunday game saw Souths host Norths at Brandon Park, with Norths needing the win to wrap up the Minor Premiership. The first half was a close tussle with Norths going to the break with a narrow 12-8 lead. The gallant Magpies tired in the second half however and were unable to match the minor premiers who ran out 36-8 winners.
The final table saw Norths take out the Minor Premiership on 33 points, with their opponents in the Major Semi to be Springwood who finished on 32. Redcliffe (30) and Logan Brothers (28) will fight out the knockout semi. Arana ended the season well back on 18 points, followed by Centenary on 16, Easts on 11 and Souths on 0.
