Unfortunately anothere forfeit this weekend with Easts being forced to forfeit to Redcliffe.
The Friday night game saw Logan Bros host Norths at Civic Park with Norths keen to wrap up the Minor Premiership and Logan Bros still keen to get int o the top two. This turned out to be a great game and went right down to the wire. Both teams had patches where they seemed in control of the match, and in fact Norths seemed to have it wrapped up, but two Late home side tries saw the final result an 18 all draw.
Arana travelled to Tallowood Park on a blustery Sunday morning to take on Springwood. After 9 minutes it looked as though it was going to be a very long day for the Panthers with the home side leading 18-0. Fortunately they steadied and replied with a try of their own. Springwood scored another two tries to take a 30-4 lead to the break and jumped away to a 42-4 lead ten minutes into the second half. Arana scored another try to double their score, but another two tries to Springwood saw the score blow out to 54-8. Arana scored the last two tries of the match to bring the final score to 54-20, the highest score ever against this Arana side. Brent Hallett equalled Matt Handcok's team record of 32 tackles in an impressive effort.

The other Sunday game saw Souths and Centenary face off at Brandon Park. Centenary started very well despite being short on numbers to lead 20-0. Just before the break Souths scored to make the score 20-4, and when the Magpies fought back to 20-14 early in the second half a Souths win looked on the cards. But the visitors steadied to eventually take out the match 32-14.
The weekend's results and forfeit see Norths holding the competition lead on 29 points with Springwood in the critical 2nd position on 28. Redcliffe are on 26 points with Logan Bros on 24 with a match in hand. Arana on 18, Centenary on 16, Easts on 9 and Souths are out of contention.
