2004 BJRL U16A Round 10 Preview
Note for "Head-to-Head" performances I have used Redlands for Springwood.
Premiership odds movements are listed below the game title.

The final "derby" round of the year with the Panthers meeting, the Tigers meeting, arch-rivals Norths and Redcliffe squaring off and southside neighbours Souths and Logan Bros clashing!
ARANA (5th) v CENTENARY (6th): Sunday Aug 1 3.00pm at Dawson Pde
PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Arana: 15/1 ($16.00) out from 8/1 ($9.00); Centenary: 20/1 ($21.00) out from 10/1 ($11.00)
2004 Games: Round 3: Arana 12 def Centenary 10; Round 10: Arana 26 def Centenary 10
Head to Head 2001/4: Arana 7 Centenary 1
Last 3 Games: Arana: Logan Bros L 20-24; Redcliffe L 16-23; Souths W 52-0
              Centenary: Redcliffe L 4-42; Easts W 22-14; Springwood L 10-26
A disastrous weekend for the two Panther clubs with their chances of making the semis rapidly disintegrating. There is still a chance however so there is pplenty to play for in this game. Arana have had the wood over Centenary in their previous encounters leading 7-1, akthough all the games at dawson Pde have been close with the last two being decided by only 2 points. Home ground advantage may get Arana the win.

REDCLIFFE (1st) v NORTHS (2nd): Friday July 30 8.15pm at Dolphin Oval
PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Redcliffe: 3/1 ($4.00) in from 7/2 ($4.50); Norths: Steady at 9/4 ($3.25)
2004 Gms:  Rd 3: Norths 30 def Redcliffe 26; Rd 10: Redcliffe 28 def Norths 18; CT: Norths 24 def Redcliffe 10
Head to Head 2001/4: Norths 3 Redcliffe 2
Last 3 Games:  Redcliffe Centenary W 42-4; Arana W 23-16; Logan Bros W 34-18
                Norths: Easts W 42-12; Springwood W 24-16; Souths W 36-16
A Chairman's Trophy rematch and a possible Grand Final Preview is the only game on Friday night this week. Redcliffe hold the competition lead on for-and-against from Norths, although the Devils have a match in hand. Redcliffe had a great week last week knocking over Logan Bros, Arana and Centenary in 6 days and will be looking to continue their good form at home. Norths had a slightly scratchy win over Easts but they will be much more focussed for this encounter with the winner taking a huge step towards wrapping up the Minor Premiership. The Dolphins may have just enough at home to win.

SOUTHS (8th) v LOGAN BROS (4th): Sunday Aug 1 12.30pm at Brandon Park
PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Souths: out of contention; Logan Bros: 3/1 ($3.00) in from 4/1 ($5.00)
2004 games: 2004 Round 3: Logan Bros 48 def Souths 10; Round 10: Logan Bros 36 def Souths 20
Head to Head 2001/4: Logan Bros 8 Souths 3
Last 3 Games: Souths: Springwood L 6-52; Arana L 0-52; Norths L 16-36
                       Logan Bros: Arana W 24-20; Redcliffe L 18-34; Springwood W 24-10
Souths have really struggled in the last couple of weeks with big losses to Arana and Springwood and having to forfeit to Centenary mid-week. It is hoped they can get a side on the field against Logan Bros, however the visitors will be buoyant after an important last-gasp win over Arana on Sunday. Logan Bros are starting to look ominous with the finals not too far away and will be hard to beat in this one.

EASTS (7th) v SPRINGWOOD (3rd): Sunday Aug 1 4.00pm at Scott Park
PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Easts: 100/1 ($101.00) out from 50/1 ($51.00); Springwood: Steady at 3/1 ($4.00)
2004 Games: 2004 Round 3: Springwood 50 def Easts 6; Round 10: Springwood 42 def Easts 0
Head to Head 2001/4: Redlands/Springwood 7 Easts 0
Last 3 Games: Easts: Norths L 12-42; Centenary L 14-22; Redcliffe L 12-28
               Springwood: Souths W 52-6; Norths L 16-24; Centenary W 24-10
Easts have struggled against Springwood in both games this year on the end of 40 point hammerings. They have put in good performances in the last two weeks against Centenary and Norths and will be looking to get closer this time. Springwood may be vulnerable on the weekend with injuries and unavailabilities and it may be Easts big chance to spring an upset.
