Note for "Head-to-Head" performances I have used Redlands for Springwood.

Premiership odds movements are listed below the game title.

Good to be back to footy, but another split round this week, with two games on July 14, the Redcliffe/Arana match delayed till July 21, and Easts/Logan Bros game to a date to be fixed.

REDCLIFFE (3rd) v ARANA (4th) Wednesday July 21 7.00pm at Dolphin Oval

PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Redcliffe: Steady at 4/1 ($5.00); Arana: 7/1 ($8.00) out from 6/1 ($7.00) [Odds at July 14]

Last Encounter: 2004 Round 7: Redcliffe 22 def Arana 8

Head to Head 2001/4: Redcliffe 7 Arana 3

Last 3 Games:  Redcliffe: Logan Bros W 34-18; Easts W 28-12; Souths W 30-20

                       Arana: Souths W 52-0; Springwood L 14-44; Easts W 28-12

Crunch time for the Panthers, and this is a game they can' t afford to lose if they want to maintain their challenge for a semi-final position. Redcliffe will not be easy foes however and will be just as keen to snuff out the Arana challenge. Redcliffe put on a fine performance in their previous start against Logan Brois, whilst Arana blew away an undermanned Souths side. Should be a great match with home ground advantage maybe making the difference.

Easts have never lowered Logan Bros colours and once again it will be difficult for them despite playing at home. Logan Bros have not played a lot of football recently but this should not hamper them too much. They will have to turn up to play however otherwise the Tigers could surprise.

SPRINGWOOD (1st) v CENTENARY (6th): Wednesday July 14 7.00pm at Tallowood

PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Springwood: 5/2 ($3.50) in from 3/1 ($4.00); Centenary: Steady at 15/2 ($8.50)

                Centenary: Norths W 20-16; Logan Bros L 6-42; Arana L 10-26

Most people had written Centenary off after a string of losses, but then last start they knocked over the competition leaders to show they still have thoughts of final football. Springwood turned on an awesome performance to smash Arana last start and it is hard to see Centenary getting as close as they did in a thrilling encounter earlier in the year, particularly at Springwood's home ground.

NORTHS (3rd) v SOUTHS (8th): Wednesday July 14 7.00pm at Bishop Park

PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Norths: Steady at 5/2 ($3.50); Souths: 50/1 ($51.00) in from 33/1 ($34.00)

Last 3 Games:  Norths: Centenary L 16-20; Redcliffe W 24-10 (CT); Arana W 34-22

                       Souths: Redcliffe L 20-30; Easts L 18-20; Logan Bros L 20-36

Souths still have not scored a win in 2004 despite going close on a number of occasions, although most of their better performances have been at home. Norths will be disappointed at having last start against Centenary and will not want to let another one slip, with every game now critical in deciding the top four.
