2004 BJRL U16A Round 10 Preview
Note for "Head-to-Head" performances I have used Redlands for Springwood.
Premiership odds movements are listed below the game title.

The second "derby" round of the year with the Panthers meeting, the Tigers meeting, arch-rivals Norths and Redcliffe squaring off and southside neighbours Souths and Logan Bros clashing!
CENTENARY (6th) v ARANA (4th): Sunday May 23 11.15am at Cent Highway Reserve
PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Arana: Steady at 5/1 ($6.00); Centenary: Steady at 5/1 ($6.00)
Last Encounter: 2004 Round 3: Arana 12 def Centenary 10
Head to Head 2001/4: Arana 6 Centenary 1
Last 3 Games: Centenary: Redcliffe L 18-24; Easts D 16-16; Springwood L 18-20
              Arana: Logan Bros W 24-22; Souths W 22-18; Redcliffe L 8-22
After struggling for several weeks, Arana turned in a superb performance to knock over Logan Bros on Tuesday night. In 9 rounds, Centenary have had 8 games decided by a converted try or less, including a 6 point loss to Redcliffe last start and a 2 point loss to Arana earlier this year. Both these sides have been badly affected by rugby commitments and home ground advantage may just be enough to get Centenary home.
"The Computer" tips Centenary by 2.

NORTHS (1st) v REDCLIFFE (3rd): Sunday May 23 11.00am at Bishop Park
PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Norths: Steady at 11/4 ($3.75); Redcliffe: Steady at 4/1 ($5.00)
Last Encounter: 2004 Round 3: Norths 30 def Redcliffe 26
Head to Head 2001/4: Norths 2 Redcliffe 1
Last 3 Games:  Norths: Easts W 28-22; Springwood W 23-22; Souths W 26-12
                Redcliffe: Centenary W 24-18; Logan Bros L 0-36; Arana W 22-8
A precursor to the Chairman's Trophy match this should be a very interesting match. Redcliffe sandwiched a shocking performance against Logan Bros between tow hard fought wins over the Panther teams in the last week, whilst a depleted Norths beat Easts narrowly last weekend, after a thrilling win over Springwood. Redcliffe would love to close the gap to Norths ro 2 points but the Devils will be keen to maintain their buffer at the top of the table on their home ground.
"The Computer" tips Norths by 8.

SPRINGWOOD (2nd) v EASTS (7th): Sunday May 23 11.00pm at Tallowood Park
PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Springwood: Steady at 3/1 ($4.00); Easts: Steady at 16/1 ($17.00)
Last Encounter: 2004 Round 3: Springwood 50 def Easts 6
Head to Head 2001/4: Redlands/Springwood 6 Easts 0
Last 3 Games: Springwood: Souths W 58-18; Norths L 22-23; Centenary W 20-18
               Easts: Norths L 22-28; Centenary D 16-16; Logan Bros L 10-40
In the last 4 rounds Easts managed a drraw against a Centenary and win over Arana, plus a close loss to Norths last weekend. Springwood inflicted a huge mauling on their fellow Tigers earlier in the year and will be looking to further improve their for-and-against in this one, although Easts are proving they are certainly no easy-beats.
"The Computer" tips Springwood by 12.

LOGAN BROS (5th) v SOUTHS (8th): Sunday May 23 12.15pm at Civic Park
PREMIERSHIP ODDS: Logan Bros: Steady at 3/1 ($4.00); Souths: Steady at  33/1 ($34.00)
Last Encounter: 2004 Round 3: Logan Bros 48 def Souths 10
Head to Head 2001/4: Logan Bros 7 Souths 3
Last 3 Games: Logan Bros: Arana L 22-24; Redcliffe W 36-0; Easts W 40-10
                       Souths: Springwood L 18-58; Arana L 18-22; Norths L 12-26
Souths could well and truly feel the wrath of a Logan Bros team that will be extremely disappointed at their midweek loss to Arana after annihilating Redcliffe on rep trial day. Souths put in a dreadful first half against Springwood last start but were much more competitive in the second, and previously went within a whicker of knocking over the same Arana team that defeated Logan Bros. Hard to see the Magpies getting close in this one, particularly away from Brandon Park
"The Computer" tips Logan Bros by 20.
