What an enthralling battle we have in store in this year's Grand Final - the forward dominated Logan Bros side against the pace and guile of "The Rat's" Redlands side. Logan Bros started the season well but went into somewhat of a slump mid-season before recovering to win their last 6 matches, including 2 semi final matchups against the Parakeets. In fact Logan Bros' last defeat was against Redlands back on June 20, but interestingly through byes, forfeits and final weeks off, these 6 games have been spread over 3 months - hard to say whether this will be a beneift or detriment against the Redlands side which has played 10 games in the same period.
The weather could play a part in this match, and an absolute scorcher has been forecast for Sunday, so there is little doubt the Redlands side will try to run the Logan side off their feet. This does bring an element of risk however and the Brethren will be quick to pounce on any opportunities offered up in the Redlands half.
Redlands will have to play the game right out as well, as they were run down in last year's grand final by Arana, as well as this year's major semi by Logan Bros, and went close to a similar fate in last week's preliminary final with Arana scoring one try and nearly another in the last 3 minutes.
