ARANA (2nd) v LOGAN BROS (3rd): Sunday Aug 10 12.45pm at Creek Rd
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 10: Arana 32 def Logan Bros 10
Head to Head 2001/3: Arana 5 Logan Bros 3 Drawn 2
Last 3 Games: Arana: lof; bye; Redlands L 10-48; Souths W 36-30; Holy Spirit W 24-4
Logan Bros: Norths W 28-10; wof; Souths W 28-22; bye; Centenary W 52-10
Arana are confident of getting a competitive side on the paddock on Sunday despite the horrendous injury toll besetting the defending premiers. A weakened Logan Bros were soundly beaten by the Panthers in the last clash between these two sides, but will be keen to repeat their thrilling win in the first round of the season. Not an absolute "must-win" for these sides given the seven team finals series, but a good game to get the upper hand pyschologically for the games ahead.

SOUTHS (4th) v REDCLIFFE (5th): Sunday Aug 10 2.00pm at Creek Rd
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 9: Souths 40 def Redcliffe 10
Head to Head 2001/3: Souths 4 Redcliffe 1 Drawn 3
Last 3 Games: Souths: wof; Norths W 32-10; Logan Bros L 22-28; Arana L 30-36
Redcliffe: wof; Redlands L 12-28; Norths L 6-10; wof; Easts L 22-24
As in the first game, there's a second chance for the loser of this game, but neither side will want to leave themselves facing the winner of Easts and Norths in the next week of the finals, particularly Redcliffe who have been beaten by both these sides, albeit narrowly, in the last few weeks. Souths have had Redcliffe's measure this season, winning both encounters comfortably, and will be looking to make it a hat-trick in this one. Both teams have benefited from winning on forfeit last week, so should be fresh for this one, although Redcliffe have lost a number of players with season ending injuries.

EASTS (6th) v NORTHS (7th): Sunday Aug 10 3.15pm at Creek Rd
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 10: Norths 22 def Easts 14
Head to Head 2001/3: Easts 1 Norths 1
Last 3 Games: Easts: Redlands L 12-52; Centenary W 32-10; bye; Holy Spirit W 10-8
Norths: Logan Bros L10-28; Souths L 10-32; Redcliffe W 10-6
"Must-win" time for both sides as the loser is eliminated. This should be a great game with both sides having shown improved form in the second half of the season and keen to get a crack at the teams higher up the ladder again. The score stands at one all between the Tigers and Devils this year and it really is hard to pick a winner in this one. Should be a fine finish to an entertaining day's footy!!
