Congratulations to JAMIE BLACKWOOD, assistant coach of the 15As in 2003, who has been named coach of the 16As in 2004, replacing Michael Price. Wayne RYLANDS has replaced long-serving Rosa Altadonna as Manager. Thanks to Michael and Rosa and all the best to Jamie and Wayne in 2004!!!
QAS U16/17 SQUAD 2004:
Congratulations to Alex Tallon who has been selected in the Queensland Academy of Sport U16/17 Squad for 2004. First camp is in mid January.
He is one of nine 2003 U15 players in the squad (five from Brisbane - Jay Aston, Lagi Setu, Matty Smith and Nathan Strudwick are the other Brisbane players). The squad has its first camp of the year in mid-January.
AIS SQUAD/ARU NATIONAL TALENT SQUAD:
Congratulations also to Alex Tallon and Lagi Setu who have been selected in the ARU National Talent Squad, as well as receiving Australian Institute of Sport Rugby Scholarships. Lagi and Alex commenced training at Ballymore last Monday and will travel to 2 camps in Canberra this holidays, the first commencing Monday Dec 15.
