EASTS (6th) v REDLANDS (1st): Friday Aug 1 7.15pm at Scott Park
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 9: Redlands 38 def Easts 10
Head to Head 2001/3: Redlands 4 Easts 0
Last 3 Games: Easts: Centenary W 32-10; bye; Holy Spirit W 10-8; Redcliffe W 24-22
Redlands: Redcliffe W 28-12; Arana W 48-10; Norths W 54-16
Easts have won three in a row for the first time, but will find much tougher opposition in the competition leaders Redlands, even though they are hosting them at Scott Park. Redlands have voted to become an Easts affiliated team next year but will be unlikely to go easy on their new parent club in this one.

ARANA (2nd) v REDCLIFFE (5th): Friday Aug 1 8.30pm at Dawson Pde
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 9: Arana 18 def Redcliffe 10
Head to Head 2001/3: Redcliffe 6 Arana 2
Last 3 Games: Arana: bye; Redlands L 10-48; Souths W 36-30; Holy Spirit W 24-4
Redcliffe: Redlands L 12-28; Norths L 6-10; Centenary WOF; Easts L 22-24
Redcliffe travel to Dawson Pde knowing they have the best record there of any visiting team having been responsible for 2 of Arana's three total defeats there in the last 3 years. Arana will want to put in a good match before the finals. whilst Redcliffe will be keen to get back in the winning column after three recent losses. Should be an entertaining match.

CENTENARY (8th) v SOUTHS (4th): Friday Aug 1 8.30pm at Ipswich Rd
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 9: Souths 30 def Centenary 24
Head to Head 2001/3: Centenary 3 Souths 2
Last 3 Games: Centenary: Easts L 10-32; Holy Spirit W 26-18; Redcliffe LOF; L.B. L 10-52
Souths: Norths W 32-10; Logan Bros L 22-28; Arana L 30-36
It's "do-or-die" for Centenary in this one, with a win or draw against Souths an absolute necessity if they are to feature in this year's semis. They will welcome back Nick Wright but have lossed Lauchlan Witt so it will be a real struggle for them against the Magpies, who put Norths to the sword last week after narrow losses to Logan Bros and Arana and a win over leaders Redlands. A win to Souths could see them sneak into third place.

LOGAN BROS (3rd) v NORTHS (7th): Sunday Aug 3 1.45pm at Civic Park
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 9: Logan Bros 44 def Norths 24
Head to Head 2001/3: Logan Bros 1 Norths 0
Last 3 Games: Logan Bros: H.S. WOF; Souths W 28-22; bye; Cent W 52-10; Redlands L 12-20
Norths: Souths L 10-32; Redcliffe W 10-6; Redlands L 16-54
The result of Friday's Souths/Centenary match will set the task Logan Bros and Norths have to achieve in this match. A Souths win will mean Norths are in the semis, but Logan Bros requiring a win to finish 3rd, whilst a Centenary win will mean Norths have to win to wrap up a finals spot. Norths were a little disappointing against Souths on Sunday and will have to lift considerably to challenge the home side

HOLY SPIRIT (9th) have the bye.
