2003 BJRL U15A Round 15 Preview
HOLY SPIRIT (9th) v EASTS (8th): Friday July 11 7.15pm at Francis Rd
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 6: Easts 26 def Holy Spirit 12
Head to Head 2001/3: Easts 1 Holy Spirit 0
Last 3 Games: Holy Spirit: Arana L 4-24; Redcliffe L 4-28; Norths L 6-40
                       Easts:  Redcliffe W 24-22; Souths L 4-32; Logan Bros L 6-16
A "must win" game for the two sides outside the top seven if they are to have any hope of making the semi finals. Holy Spirit have been dissappointing over the past few weeks, whilst Easts, with the exception of a meek 2nd half against Souths, have been performing well, including a shock victory over Redcliffe last start. The Hornets home ground advantage may not be enough to get them home against the improved Tigers.

REDCLIFFE (5th) v CENTENARY (7th): Friday July 11 7.15pm at Dolphin Oval
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 6: Redcliffe 24 def Centenary 12
Head to Head 2001/3: Redcliffe 2 Centenary 2
Last 3 Games: Redcliffe: Easts L 22-24; Holy Spirit W 28-4; Souths L 10-40
                      Centenary: Logan Bros L 10-52; bye; Arana L 12-32; Norths L 10-30
Starting to get close to desperation time for Centenary, whose last win was 3 months ago, whilst Redcliffe's form has only been marginally better although they appear to have a semi spot wrapped up.  Redcliffe will be disappointed with their last start loss to Easts and will want to atone in this match. Centenary will be buoyed by the selection of Lagi in the Australian Merit team although they will be without inspirational centre Lauchlan Witt who will be a huge loss. Hard to see the Panthers bringing home the 2 points.

SOUTHS (3rd) v ARANA (2nd): Sunday July 13 11.30am at Brandon Pk
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 6: Arana 44 def Souths 0
Head to Head 2001/3: Arana 6 Souths 1
Last 3 Games: Souths: Redlands W 26-16; Easts W 32-4; Redcliffe W 40-10
                       Arana: Holy Spirit W 32-4; Norths W 28-12; Centenary W 32-12
Definitely the match of the round between 2 sides in equal second spot and still both with chances of overtaking Redlands for the minor premiership. This is Souths 4th match in a row at home, where they are undefeated this season, and although Arana hold a 6-1 record over the Magpies (including a 44-0 victory in the earlier match this year) their one loss was the only previous time the two sides have met at Brandon Park! Should be a great match with the Magpies wanting to prove their victory over Redands was no fluke.

REDLANDS (1st) v NORTHS (6th): Sunday July 13 12.00noon at Pinklands
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 6: Redlands 36 def Norths 6
Head to Head 2001/3: Redlands 1 Norths 0
Last 3 Games: Redlands: Souths L 16-26; Logan Bros W 20-12; bye; Arana W 34-12
                      Norths: bye; Arana L 12-28; Holy Spirit W 40-6; Centenary W 30-10
Redlands will be back to full strength with the return of their 3 state representatives for this clash against the improved Norths side. Norths won 3 straight before pushing Arana all the way in their last outing, despite going down. Redlands cannot afford a slip at the top with Souths and Arana breathing down their neck and should have too many guns for the Devils in this one.
