2003 BJRL U15A Round 13 Preview
REDCLIFFE (5th) v HOLY SPIRIT (9th): Friday June 20 7.00pm at Dolphin Oval
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 8: Redcliffe 15 def Holy Spirit 8
Head to Head 2001/3`: Redcliffe 4 Holy Spirit 1
Last 3 Games: Redcliffe: Souths L 10-40; Logan Bros L 0-22; bye; Arana L 10-18
                       Holy Spirit: Norths L 6-40; Redlands L 12-30; Souths L 12-26
Two sides who have not tasted victory for some time clash in the opening game of the round, with both desperate for a return to form. The last game between the two sides was a tight encounter and this could be the same. Redcliffe may just have a bit too much experience for the Hornets.

REDLANDS (1st) v LOGAN BROS (4th): Friday June 20 8.30pm at Pinklands
FOUNDATION SHIELD SEMI FINAL
Last Encounter: 2002 Round 8: Redlands 30 def Logan Bros 22
Head to Head 2001/3: Redlands 6 Logan Bros 1
Last 3 Games: Redlands: bye; Arana W 34-12 (CT); Holy Spirit W 30-12; wof; Easts W 38-10
                       Logan Bros: Easts W 16-6; Twba Sths W 36-12 (FSQF); Redcliffe W 22-0
Lots at stake in this game with a date at Suncorp Stadium (or Lang Park for you traditionalists) in the Foundation Shield Final for the winner. Redlands are also trying to keep their undefeated season intact. Logan Bros started the season brilliantly but have slumped somewhat since and will need to be at the top of their form to surprise the premiership leaders. Should be a great match. Note that if this game is drawn at fulltime, the premiership points will be shared and 5 mins each way "golden point" extra time will be played. If still level at the end of this countback will be most tries, first try, most penalties, first penalty to decide the winner!!

NORTHS (6th) v ARANA (2nd): Sunday June 22 11.00am at Bishop Pk
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 8: Arana 32 def Norths 18
Head to Head 2001/3: Arana 1 Norths 0
Last 3 Games: Arana: Centenary W 32-12; Redlands L 12-34 (CT); Easts W 18-6
                       Norths: Holy Spirit W 40-6; Centenary W 30-10; Easts W 22-14
This game shapes as a rel litmus test for the improving Norths side against one of the competition frontrunners who will be somewhat weakened by injury and rep commitments. Arana's form has been rather patchy of late, whilst Norths seemingly improving with every match.  Both sides got over the top of Centenary and Easts by very similar margins in the last three weeks, which points to a close one. Arana will want to stay in touch with Redlands but a home side upset would not surprise.

SOUTHS (3rd) v EASTS (8th): Sunday June 22 11.30am at Brandon Park
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 89: Souths 20 def Easts 12
Head to Head 2001/2: Souths 4 Easts 0
Last 3 Games: Souths: Redcliffe W 40-10; bye; Holy Spirit W 26-12; Centenary W 30-24
                      Easts: Logan Bros L 6-16; Arana L 6-18; Norths L 14-22
If Souths can maintain their undefeated home record in 2003 in this game they will have racked up 6 wins in a row, their best effort ever, and it is hard to see Easts having the firepower to stop them. Easts have competed well in the last few games, but have just not been able to get over the line when needed. The Magpies will not want to take them lightly.

CENTENARY (7th) have a bye.
