2003 BJRL U15A Round 12 Preview
NORTHS (7th) v HOLY SPIRIT (9th): Friday June 13 7.45pm at Bishop Park
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 3: Holy Spirit 18 def Norths 16
Head to Head 2001/3: Holy Spirit 1 Norths 0
Last 3 Games:  Norths: Centenary W 30-10; Easts W 22-14; Logan Bros L 24-44
                       Holy Spirit: Redlands L 12-30; Souths L 12-26; bye; Redcliffe L 8-15
The first round encounter betwwen these two sides ended in controversy and it is hoped there will not be a repeat this round. Holy Spirit just got home in that game, but Norths have really hit form in the last couple of weeks, even without representative prop Isaac. They will see this a real opportunity to rack up 3 in a row.

ARANA (2nd) v CENTENARY (6th): Friday June 13 8.30pm at Dawson Pde
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 3: Arana 40 def Centenary 12
Head to Head 2001/3: Arana 4 Centenary 1
Last 3 Games: Arana: Redlands L 12-34; Easts W 18-6; Logan Bros W 32-10
Centenary: Norths L 10-30; lof to Redlands; Souths L 24-30; bye; Holy Spirit D 28-28
Both sides will be missing a number of key players for this match, so will be a test of their depth. Arana have a poud record at home which they will want to defend, but Centenary are getting to the stage where wins are desperately required to give them a realistic shot at the semis.

SOUTHS (3rd) v REDCLIFFE (5th): Sunday June 15 10.30am at Brandon Park
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 3: Souths 26 def Redcliffe 6
Head to Head 2001/3: Souths 3 Redcliffe 1 Drawn 3
Last 3 Games: Souths: bye; Holy Spirit W 26-12; Centenary W 30-24; Easts W 20-12
                       Redcliffe: Logan Bros L 0-22; bye; Arana L 10-18; Holy Spirit W 15-8
Souths are on a good run at the moment, having not lost a game since late April.  Redcliffe's defence has been ok but they have been struggling to put points on the board. Last time Redcliffe visited Brandon was in the last round of 2002 when the Magpies convincingly defeated them, ending the Dolphins semi-final chances so revenge would certainly be sweet, although it is hard to see Redcliffe getting up on Souths home ground.

LOGAN BROS (4th) v EASTS (8th): Sunday June 15 11.30am at Civic Park
Last Encounter: 2003 Round 3: Logan Bros 38 def Easts 12
Head to Head 2001/2: Logan Bros 4 Easts 0
Last 3 Games:  Logan Bros: Twba Sths W 36-12; Redcliffe W 22-0; Arana L 10-32; Norths W 44-24
                       Easts: Arana L 6-18; Norths L 14-22; Redlands L 10-38
Easts have yet to beat Logan Brothers in four encounters and it is hard to see them breaking this run at Civic Park. Logan Bros will have been buoyed by their Foundation Shield quarter final victory and will be looking to take this form forward into this game, with the Shield semi-final clash against Redlands scheduled for June 20. Easts have competed in all their games, but have just not had the penetration to put teams away.
