The No.1 Squad broke a long losing streak against the Dolphins by defeating them 24-22 on Friday night, afer trailing 10-4 at halftime - Try scorers were Alex T (2), Rodger, Rob and Josh - Alex F kicked 2 goals. Congratulations to Rohan who topped both the tackle count (17) and hit-ups (14). Other top tacklers were Alex T (16), Matt and Brent (12), Dean (11) and fullback Luke with 10; Rob (9) and Brent (8) were the other hit-up leaders - great to see the number of "new" Panthers featuring along with some old hands!! Unfortunately an undermanned No.2 Squad tried hard but were defeated 28-10 on Sunday; they got away to a slow start, but put in a great second half, despite being down to 12 men at times - there are even rumours circulating that Kevvie played in the centres (and scored a try while there) - could this be true??.
