Still no official word on the makeup of the comp although it appears there is significant
doubt that Aspley and/or Holy Spirit will rejoin this year.
Brighton, last year's Jnr BN premiers, have indicated interest and may be a real chance, so the comp would avoid too much of a southside dominance. Wynnum are the southside team in real doubt, and last year's A2 grand finalists Easts
and Slacks Creek and the Southern Division player boosted
Centenary, last year's Jnr BS premiers, are apparently all keen to make the step up, to join Redlands, Redcliffe, Logan Brothers, Arana and Souths (last year's A1 semi-finalists) who seem certain to be in the top grade. My pick is that it will be a 10 team comp, with Easts, Slacks Creek, Centenary, Holy Spirit and Brighton to join last year's 13A semi-finalists. There is little doubt that whatever happens it will be an even stronger competition this year than last year - a great season is in store.
