2002 U14A Round 10 Preview
Round 10 represents the first game of the second round and I have added a few more details re each match-up:

Centenary v Easts: Friday 7.00pm
First Round Result: Centenary 48 def Easts 0   Head to Head 2001/2: Centenary 1 Easts 0
Easts are a much improved team since their first round annihilation and should provide sterner resistance this time around. In their last two outing the Tigers have led both Redlands and Souths well into the match, and will be looking to go the full 60 minutes against Centenary. The Panthers however are gradually returning to their early season form, and will be tough to beat. "The Computer" tips Centenary by 16.

Redlands v Arana: Friday 8.30pm
First Round Result: Arana 15 def Redlands 14  Head to Head 2001/2: Redlands 2 Arana 2
The top 2 teams meet in a dress rehearsal for the Chairman's Flag in what should be another great clash. The biggest margin in the 4 games between the 2 sides over the last 2 years has been 8 points with victory going to the home team on each occasion.  Arana are struggling with some injury problems at the moment but always play well against Redlands and will be looking to reverse the home team dominance between the two sides. Both team suffered surprise losses last week, and will be looking to get back to winning form. No doubt the winner of this game will gain a psychological advantage for the upcoming Flag game.
"The Computer" tips Redlands by 4.

Souths v Logan Bros: Sunday 11.45am
First Round Result: Souths 24 def Logan Bros 16  Head to Head 2001/2: Logan Bros 4 Souths 1
Another great game in prospect here, with Souths having won 4 in a row, and Logan Bros fresh from their victory over Redlands last week. Logan Bros won all four matches against the Magpies last year (including an overtime elimination semi-final victory), but Souths turned the tables in the first game this year. Logan Bros have showed steady improvement as the year has progressed, and it is very difficult to pick a winner in this one.  "The Computer" tips Souths by 2.

Redcliffe v Slacks Ck: Sunday 1.15pm
First Round Result: Redcliffe 56 def Slacks Ck 6  Head to Head 2001/2: Redcliffe 1 Slacks Ck 0
Redcliffe smashed the Creek boys in the first round in their introduction to "A" grade, but like Easts they have shown steady improvement since then. They are still having trouble playing out the full 30 minutes each half, and will need to improve on this aspect of their game. They have been competitive against Souths and Centenary in their last 2 matches, but it they face a difficult task against the Dolphins, fresh from their victory over the competition leaders. "The Computer" tips Redcliffe by 24.

Hope everyone enjoys the opening to the Second Round!
